Westlife Memories of 2010

We recently asked Westlife fans to send in their favourite memories of 2010.

We would like to share a few highlights from a great year – let’s hope 2011 brings many more fantastic memories.

My favourite memories of 2010 is when me and my best friend went to see the lads 9 times on the tour we went to the opening night of the tour and the atmosphere in the Odyssey Arena was electric nobody new what to expect, Me and my friend were lucky enough to meet Nicky,Kian,Mark,Kevi n,Louis and Jodi at our hotel then we met Kian and Shane in Manchester but my best memory ever that i will never ever forget is Nicky and Wonderland choosing me to go onstage with them for the very last song at the very last Westlife concert of 2010 at Cawdor Castle in Scotland

Thank you soo much lads for the best memories in the 13 years XXX

My favourite memory has to be Christmas day. I bought my 6 year old son a cd player for his bedroom and some cd's, the cd's were things like bob the builder (sorry guys lol), glee, high school musical etc but after we set it up he turned to me and asked why i hadn't bought him a westlife cd. I told him it was because i already have every single one. So, he walked over to my cd rack, took out the new gravity album and put it on full blast. He was singing and dancing away and that image i will never forget. I have now had to start buying myself all the albums again because mine have disappeared into his bedroom and he wont let me have them back :( lol. I'm getting married in August and at the reception my dad will be performing and Johnathan (my son) has asked him if he will learn how to play safe so that he can sing it with him on my wedding day. So next year when you ask the highlight of our year, i can guarantee that this wil be it. I can't wait! Xx

I have a lot of memories from 2010 :) I'm from Denmark but I did went to 9 shows last year :) I was in Belfast, Manchester, Newcastle, Dublin and Sligo :) And if I have to choose the best concerts, I must say Croke Park and also the show in Sligo! :) The crowd on Croke Park was absolutely fantastic! Everyone jumped and sang along! They brought their kids to the stage, which was so wonderful to see! :) The speech Nicky and Kian did for their Dad's, were so emotional! I admire them for doing it, it was so beautiful! :)

The concert in Sligo was amazing! They read our banner saying: 'Nicky's got the moves, Mark's got the voice, Kian's got the style and Shane's got it all!' It was unforgettable! :) They joked about our banner a lot, and Shane said to us, that we should be proud of ourselves, for making the banner :D

Also in Manchester Nicky read our banner. But this time saying: 'Shane Filan, the best product of Ireland!' And I will not forget the 'thank you', the smile and the wink Shan

We hope you all have great memories of the last year following Westlife – we look forward to hearing memories of this year and the Gravity tour.

Westlife set to play at Arthur's Day in Dublin on the 23rd Sept.

Westlife, The Script, Sharon Corr, Imelda May, Snow Patrol, Paolo Nutini, Brandon Flowers and Manic Street Preachers have all been announced as acts that will be playing surprise performances in Arthur’s Day pubs in Dublin, Cork and Galway on the night.

Westlife, speaking ahead of Arthur’s Day said, “We've heard the atmosphere last year was incredible, so we can't wait to get into Dublin and be part of what is fast becoming one of Ireland’s biggest days in the year. It’s a chance to play with some fantastic artists and shock a few fans by rocking up unexpectedly to one of the local pubs. See you on 23rd Dublin!!!"

LOOK WHO'S BACK WITH THE WESTLIFE BOYS!

BRIAN McFadden has buried the hatchet with his former Westlife bandmates.

The band, who are currently recording their new album in Los Angeles, met up with the solo singer for dinner earlier this week -- and there wasn't an ounce of tension in sight.

Kian Egan, Mark Feehily, Nicky Byrne and Shane Filan dined with the outspoken singer at Hollywood's exclusive Nobu restaurant, an essential haunt for local and visiting celebrities

And there was no insult swapping as they dined at the plush eatery, owned by Eva Longoria.

Brian was so excited at the reunion that he posted a picture of himself with Kian, Mark and Mark's boyfriend Kevin Fielding, accompanied with the tag: "My new boyband. Looking for a fifth member".

McFadden unexpectedly left the band in 2004 in a bid to embark on a solo career, and his former bandmates have made it perfectly clear that he is no longer welcome to sing with them -- but he is still one of the lads.

Kian quashed any suggestion that he would be welcomed with open arms again -- when he said that they would "never" take him back two years ago.

"He left the group and you can't expect us to take him back," he said. "I told him: 'You're never going to be in Westlife again. Accept it'!"

And just last month, McFadden echoed their statement, saying he would not want to rejoin the band because he would be little more than a "backing singer".

"I see the guys a lot, we speak on the phone and stuff. We've talked about it, but we're so different now from what we were then.

"I was even looking at the way Robbie's going back to Take That. When they do a gig, Robbie doesn't sing anything, he's just going to be a backing singer with Take That.

"I was like 'I wouldn't want to do that now' because they've made singles and albums," he said.

But the war or words has finally ended and both parties have put the past behind them for a catch up.

As McFadden attempts to crack the notoriously difficult US market, the foursome are living it up in LA, where they are staying for the next week as they lay down tracks for their next album.

And Brian's desire to break the US might not be as impossible as previously thought -- he recently bragged on his Twitter account about mingling with hitmaker Kevin Rudolf, who has worked with Lil Wayne, Flo Rida and Black Eyed Peas, at an LA club. The pair recently worked together on McFadden's latest single, Just Say So.
